Cayuga County will conduct a home electronics drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, to collect old computer monitors, TV screens, propane tanks, fluorescent light bulbs, Freon appliances and other electronic equipment that could pose health and environmental risks if not disposed of properly.
The electronics and propane tank collection will take place at the Cayuga County Soil and Water Conservation District, 7413 County House Road, next to the county jail in Auburn.
A charge of $5 will apply for Freon appliances, TVs and computer monitors, while large copiers will be collected at the staff's discretion for $10.
All small electronic appliances and fluorescent bulbs less than four feet will be collected for free.
