Sheriff's office issues April activity report

The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office responded to 586 calls for service in April, according to its monthly activity report.
Officers responded to 80 motor vehicle accidents, 16 of which involved personal injury. The department also made 46 arrests, one of which was for driving while intoxicated.

In addition, the department issued 212 uniform traffic tickets and issued 218 civil papers.

The office's civil division also collected $80,629.74
