AUBURN - A Buffalo man pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court Thursday to possessing nearly two pounds of cocaine when he was pulled over by New York State Police after making an illegal U-turn on the state Thruway near Brutus.
Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said officers smelled marijuana when they stopped Jermaine Williams, 23, of 423 Lisbon St., Buffalo, at 2 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2007. A search of the car revealed 897 grams of cocaine, 10 grams shy of two pounds.
Williams faces up to six years in prison when he is sentenced on June 26.
