Bishop Matthew H. Clark, the Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Rochester, was recovering Thursday morning after a successful 90-minute hip replacement surgery, which doctors said went according to plan, the diocese said in a press release.
After a brief hospital stay and standard rehabilitation, Clark will return home to recuperate. Clark will continue his duties as bishop as soon as he gets permission from his doctors.
