The vote will take place during City Council's business meeting, which starts 6 p.m at City Hall on South Street. The meeting will also include a session for public to be heard on any topic.
During the meeting, councilors are also scheduled to vote on resolutions authorizing bids on a program for replacing sidewalks and curb and the 2008 Road Improvement Program.

The City of Auburn should out source trash collection to the private sector ... you lower costs, lowers liability, removes capital expense and can get a few $$ per ton.
The Fire department should also go volunteer, bigger cities than Auburn have volunteer fire departments ... the City rents existing facilities and trucks.
These things are not draconian, they do take leadership.
