Memo to Barry Bonds - “Get on the good side of the G.O.P.” Yes, Barry, it's that simple, that's all you have to do. Just ask Roger Clemens. That's what he did. “I'm a registered Republican and have always given generously to G.O.P. campaign funds. I love you guys and what you stand for.”
In pre-hearing meetings that's likely what Roger said and that's all it took to have the G.O.P. on Roger's side during the Congressional hearing on baseball steroid use.
“I never ever, ever, ever, ever took H.G.H. or steroids,” stated Roger.
Despite evidence to the contrary, boldly, brashly and adamantly, Clemens denied doing so.
Andy C. Pettite “misremembered“ what I was telling him when he said I said I took H.G.H.”
Come on, Roger, on three different occasions Pettite said you told him you took H.G.H. and you stated he “Misheard” what you said. How odd. Your wife even said she got shot up with it for a photo-op to just look better and you say you didn't even know till she told you.
I mean, come on, Roger really. It's all to hard to swallow.
I mean I know you always had a big head but twice the size now that it used to be. All that's a little hard to swallow. But it's all good, Roger. The G.O.P. bought your line, hook line and sinker. Why not? You're one of them. Just like G.W.B., wrongdoing doesn't matter if you're Republican. Especially if you're wealthy and well known.
Your trainer, whatshisname?
Oh yes, Brian McNamee is not of your wealth and stature and he took a good verbal abusive beating by them good ol' boys.
Sorry, Roger, but to most who watched the proceedings, you came across as anything but Mr. Clean.
Just like those in the G.O.P. since Bush took office, you failed just as they have, to convince hardly anyone that you have accomplished all you have done without bending and breaking the rules relative to the use of performance enhancing drugs.

I still do not understand why the likes of CVN still despise Clinton - he was a republican if I ever saw one. Even Murdoch, Coulter, and Rush are supporting the flip-flopper Hillary.
The GOP make the (real) Dems look like saints. The depth of their hypocrisy and corruption seems to have no bounds. "
