ONEIDA - State police say they have found the body of a 47-year-old upstate New York hunter missing since New Year's Day.
The body of Greg Williams of Waterville was discovered just after 8 a.m. Tuesday by CSX Railroad workers.
Troopers say the body was found in a swampy area next to tracks in the town of Brookfield, about 7 miles from Williams' home.
Williams was last seen the morning of Jan. 1 when he left his house to go hunting. He was reported missing the next day by family members.
Authorities have searched for Williams off and on over the past several months.
An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
