AUBURN - A man accused of accidentally killing his nephew in a hunting accident last November pleaded not guilty in Cayuga County Court Thursday to manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, perjury, offering a false statement and two hunting violations.
Michael Hall Sr., 49, of 1306 Salt Road, Moravia, faces up to 15 years in prison if he is found guilty in the death of his nephew, Rickey A. Huffman, 33, during a hunting accident on family property Nov. 16, 2007.

According to statements released by the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office, Hall had said he thought he was shooting at a deer when he shot Huffman with a 12-gauge shotgun the day before deer season began.

Cayuga County Judge Thomas Leone set bail at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bail.
