Pleasing the taste buds is a delight many take pride in. Great food and succulent local wines are the epitomy of class, claims the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, as its 16th annual Wine and Herb Festival approaches.
The festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, April 26 and May 4, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sundays, April 27 and May 4.

More than 16 wineries will be serving up their best libations and entrees of herbs and vegetables. Each guest will receive a souvenir wine glass, a plant carrier and 16 herb or vegetable plants. Dickman Farms will again sponsor the event by supplying the herbs and veggies.

Each winery serves a food containing its herb or vegetable that it is presenting paired with its fine wines.

At the end of the journey, guests will hand in their tickets for a chance to win the grand prize: a two-night stay at the McLallen House Bed & Breakfast in Trumansburg, one “Hot Glass Show Piece,” and two adult passes to the Corning Museum of Glass, plus an overnight stay in one of the executive suites at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ithaca. Also awarded will be a complete package from Latourelle Inn in Ithaca, a one-night stay, a $100 spa credit at August Moon Spa and breakfast for two at Le Petit Cafe.
