Tewaarton Award nominee Mike Leveille led the No. 1-ranked Syracuse men's lacrosse team to a 10-5 win over Albany Friday at the Carrier Dome.
Leveille recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals and extending his point streak to 51 games. Steven Brooks, also a Tewaarton hopeful, and Kenny Nimes each finished with two goals and one assist.
Greg Niewieroski had two goals.
Jordan-Elbridge's Kyle Guadagnolo finished with three ground balls in the victory.
Syracuse's defense kept its opponent under 10 goals for the 10th time this year and eight out of the last nine games. Freshman goalie John Galloway recorded 14 saves and the Orange held the Great Danes to just two goals in the first half of play.
Syracuse (11-1) hosts Massachusetts Saturday.
