" I'm surprised you don't know since you claim to have served in the first gulf war. It was a major story used to get Americans all pumped up to go to liberate Kuwait from the evil Iraqis. Bush used every opportunity to promote this story to garner support for the coming war, and it succeeded.

But, it was a hoax masterminded by the PR firm Hill & Knowlton (with our tax dollars), part of which was arranging for the testimony of a tearful 15 yr old Kuwaiti girl in front of Congress, who claimed that hundreds of children were ripped out of their incubators by the Iraqis. Besides only having a fraction of that number of incubators in all of Kuwait, the story turned out to be a complete fraud. It was later discovered that the 15 yr old girl was the daughter of a Kuwaiti ambassador to the US.

You probably don't remember, but Kuwait was illegally slant drilling into Iraq, and one of our ambassadors to Iraq at the time gave Saddam essentially a green light to invade Kuwait.

The war mongers will stop at nothing to get your support for a needless war, and this was a particularly notable example.
