Power restored in Aurelius
A downed high voltage power line smokes on a Aurelius resident's lawn as an Aurelius fireman directs traffic on West Genesee Street on Sunday afternoon.
About 250 New York State Electric and Gas customers from West Genesee Street to Route 326 in Aurelius lost power for two hours Sunday afternoon due to a down power line. At about 2:13 the Aurelius Fire Department received a call of a down power line along West Genesee Street in Aurelius. NYSEG attributed the outage to equipment failure. Power to all customers has since been restored.
