“Get out now!” That was pretty much the message to Bill Clinton and Eliot Spitzer relative to their sexcapades while in office. Sexcapades in office are a big no-no, not only to fellow politicians but voters as well. “You just can't do that stuff while in office” seems to be the general consensus. It's certainly not right and it's certainly not very smart.
And speaking about not smart and not right, how about comparing sexcapades of Clinton and Spitzer with the escapades of George Bush.
First of all, how is a one on one with a consenting partner so disturbing and a president who wages an expensive, illegal and immoral war not so disturbing? Where is the call for George Bush's ouster? Mixed up priorities for sure. Actions involving millions of people and billions of taxpayers dollars doesn't raise the same ire as politicians one on one sexcapades.
Shame on our wimpy and totally worthless politicians who have done nothing but cater to everything that George Bush's little heart desires.
“I want to go to war with Iraq because they have weapons of mass destruction that pose an imminent threat to us.” So stated GWB. “Sure, go right ahead, George,” stated the mindless ones of Congress.
“I want more money for this (illegal and immoral) war,” demanded GWB. “It's yours,” stated GWB's GOP gang, along with the wimpy, gutless Democrats who now control Congress.
“I want more troops,” stated GWB. “You got 'em,” stated the worthless Congress.
Can't anybody stand up on their own two feet and demand the ouster of this spoiled, arrogant, ruthless leader whose administration has been anything but honest in word or deed? Where is the same outrage from the general populace, heads of church. They find sexcapades despicable to the point they take action. But they won't take action about war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Do you by any chance have any ties to the military establishment yourself?

The war IS and always has been illegal. Even Richard Perle has admitted such. And then of course there is the torture which is another heinous crime in and of itself.
Google "iraq war" +illegality and see what comes up. And I'm not talking about BS necon sites that may accidentally show up in the mix - you already know their (bs) arguments.
There are plenty of much more highly credible sites that paint a much different picture.
Like I said. Dolt.

Here is something else: No UN member has brought this issue of the war's legality before the Security Council and no nation-member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has expressed the desire to have the ICC rule on the war's legality.
Also, UNSC resolution 1441 was passed unanimously on November 8, 2002 to give Iraq "a final opportunity to comply with its disarmament obligations" that had been set out in several previous resolutions (resolution 660, resolution 661, resolution 678, resolution 686, resolution 687, resolution 688, resolution 707, resolution 715, resolution 986, and resolution 1284).
Your perecieved illegality is just your opinion, which of course, differs from real facts.
Remember kids, G. Bush isn't the enemy,
radical Islam is.
