AUBURN - A Union Springs man pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court Tuesday to the criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Joshua Jones, 26, of 90 Cayuga St., Union Springs, admitted to selling cocaine to a confidential informant on Sept. 5, 2006. Jones' plea will satisfy two other pending charges.
Jones is expected to receive a two-year shock camp prison term with $230 in restitution when he is sentenced on May 20.
An Auburn man was classified as a sexually violent level II sex offender after scoring a 90 on his evaluation.

A Red Creek woman pleaded guilty to attempting to cash a forged check for $1,500.
Kelly Finnerty, of 6729 Wolcott St., faces 2 to 4 years in state prison when she is sentenced on May 13.

When faced with the option of handing out a shock probation punishment or a shock camp prison term, Cayuga County Judge Mark Fandrich said he did not believe a prison sentence was appropriate considering Enge had been battling cancer and undergoing substance abuse treatment.
