Connor Entenmann recorded a hat trick and the Auburn boys lacrosse team won its opener, 7-6, against Central Square Monday.

Also pacing the Maroons was Matt Hoey with two goals and one assist, Bob Brannigan with one goal and one assist, Mike Tesorio with one goal and Mike Fandrich with one assist.

Kevin Dyer had 12 saves.

The Maroons led in ground balls 31-23 and in shots 31-17.

“It was a good game, a good match-up to start off with,” Maroons head coach Steve Crosby said.

The Maroons (1-0) play again at Henninger Thursday.
