‘Star' is born to play special role

There is a new bright, shining star near Victory by the name of “Star.” She is a little donkey born last Dec. 16 (that terrible, stormy Sunday that canceled everything in central New York) and weighing almost 10 pounds. The fact that it was stormy probably saved her life as her owners, Dave and Diane Matthews, stayed home that morning and checked on Star's mother, Molly and their other 50+ animals. They didn't even know Molly was expecting and all of a sudden saw the little baby donkey in the lane near the barn looking very cold.
