Netti truly a gentleman quite difficult to measure

Saturday, March 29, 2008 11:49 PM EDT

During my mourning days, I reflect how special Steve Netti was to a lot people as well as how fortunate I am being his close sister.
Knowing how much Steve had been with his constant spiritual enlightenment shown through his journey into work in family life, religion and politics. Yet, he found precious time visiting us one block away simply asking how are you as well as checking on his garlic grown garden on the property. Aside from his truly humble personality, we were able to communicate in sign language since our childhood. During his previous hospital stays, it was a blessing to see Steve felt comfortable using the signs to express his cherished memories and pains. In turn, I personally delivered necessary messages to his nurses. Moreover, Steve truly appreciated things even in small amounts with his gentle smiles.

Being highly respected Cayuga County legislator, one of his advance progresses was to push setting up new 9-1-1 system which involved a complicated technological installment and employee training necessary to operate it.

Majority of voters frequently noticed in his peaceful mannerisms in his work.

Thus, they had great faith voting again and again, despite their political party affiliations. He was truly a gentleman that is quite difficult to measure!

Bless his continuing spiritual journey in humble ways and reach above to join John, his younger brother, who passed away in 1970s.

On behalf of our family, we thank you very much for sharing your warmly sympathy with us for Steve Netti. We all miss him dearly.

With Love,

Grace A. Netti

" God Bless Steve!

My daughter in brownies 2 wks ago, had a special guest, her vice-principal who knows sign language and taught the girls basic sign in just ONE hour!

She is signing everyday!
Her & her friends sign back 'n forth.

During the summer the troop will be taking added sign classes to learn more than the basics. This isn't a troop function, its sort of a summer class, for 50.00 for 6 wks. Every GIRL has signed up!!!

Ms.Grace if you can, maybe volunteer to teach a troop sign, I know our girls LOVED IT!
