Paul Taylor dancers to perform at Landmark
On Wednesday, the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse will host one of the world's most renowned dance troupes: the Paul Taylor Dance Company of Manhattan. It will be the company's last upstate New York performance before their statewide tour of Pennslyvania.
The company is in its 53rd year of presenting modern, experimental and avant-garde dance, with 127 dances in its repetoire.
According to the dance company's Web site, Paul Taylor's choreography in the 1950s was “so cutting edge that it was not uncommon to see confused audience members flocking to the exits.”
