In her first year running the 1000m, Barnett ran an area-best 3:06.04. She trained hard in the offseason and the Lakers felt comfortable keeping her in the event. Barnett was nearly 10 seconds faster in this event than any other runner in the area.

Alexis Mazzeo

Skaneateles coach Rob Tuttle said Mazzeo likes to get comfortable with a race. She was able to do just that as she earned herself an area-best team of 5:07.37 in the 1500m, 14 seconds faster than the No. 2 runner in the event.

Liz Mahoney

Auburn Jr. 3000m

Mahoney ran a 11:20.70 in the 3000m. She also competed at the state championships in the 1500 racewalk (10:04.86). It wasn't an easy year for Mahoney, who had to undergo knee surgery a year ago. But she bounced back this season and was the Maroons' top distance runner.

In her first year on the team, Ford finished with a season-best 4-6 in the high jump. She's also the youngest competitor on the team.
