Thank you for helping a stranger with a broken leg

Saturday, March 22, 2008 11:14 PM EDT

On Jan. 29, I took a very bad fall on the ice and broke my leg in two places. Some people driving by must have seen me fall and thank God they stopped. One lady called 911 and my son. Another lady got a blanket out of her car and covered me. And a man stopped, got an umbrella and held it over me, as it was raining.
These three people stayed with me until 911 arrived and put me in the ambulance. I did not get the names of any of these people, so I hope they read this. I am using this to tell them how much I appreciate their kindness to a stranger. Lord knows how long I could have laid there if it wasn't for these three people.

I would also like to give a big thank you to the staff in Therapy at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center. They are very interested in every patient, especially in Occupational Therapy. They made me feel special.

And last buy by no means least, the staff on 7th floor. Aides, practical nurses and registered nurses alike bend over backwards to make sure patients are comfortable and feel at home. Thank you isn't enough but it comes from my heart.

" Its nice to see that there are good people in this world that care about their fellow man or woman, and they found Ms. Clifford when she needed them. "

" Happy that your stay was not long term where u were moved from the 7th floor. The 7th floor IS an excellent rehab area but if you dont improve and cant go back home the only place is definantly down... "
