Everyone has a hard time making ends meet with the high cost of living these days, but you don't hear of people having a fundraiser for them unless there is a health issue.
What a joke it is for Joe Leogrande to have a fundraiser for Kent Brandstetter because he owes $15,000 in back property taxes. If you can't pay your property taxes, then sell your house.
I have an idea. Maybe Mr. Brandstetter should just resign his position on the BOCES board and either work more hours or get another job like anyone else would do if they were having financial troubles. Also, how is someone able to stay on the school board when they can't be responsible enough to pay their taxes, and they have a part in deciding how much the school budget will be (hence property taxes).
I've never heard of someone doing this for anyone unless there is health issue and if that's the case, then I'm glad he's healthy enough to participate. Hey, if he can do that, then he can get another job and pay his own taxes.
If you can't afford it, then don't buy it.

Hmm? Might go a long way to explaining WHY he's there, and whether or not financial aid is the best,---or the WORST thing we could send him? "
