Spitzer scandal illustrates snowball effect of sin

Friday, March 21, 2008 11:30 PM EDT

Here again we have witnessed the results of pornography and the depravity of man during the last week. The affairs of Mr. Spitzer's immorality have not only had a devastating effect on his wife and daughters, but also on our state. Look how one little sin has snowballed into such a calamity.
Standards have been set by God since the beginning of time; and when those lines are crossed and sin occurs, there is much suffering physically, mentally and spiritually.

Mr. Logan, you mentioned that you have no problem with your ashes being in some landfill and being food for the worms. I will also be buried and my flesh will decay, and all that will be left is bones. But we all have a living soul, Mr. Logan, which will be dwelling in heaven or hell. It is our choice. I have made my choice and I have the assurance (I John 5;13) where I will be for all eternity, and that's a long, long time.

Again Mr. Logan, “the fool hath said in his heart there is no God” (Ps. 14-1). What if I am right and you are wrong? I have nothing to lose and you have everything to lose. Again, you are in my prayers.

" Suzanne, if you've done your research on where you're going to "spend your eternity" with regard to your "soul" (if you believe in that sort of thing) as poorly as you've done your research on the causes behind the Spitzer episode, you might want to call me so I can set you straight. Spitzer's downfall had absolutely NOTHING to do with p0rn; in fact, if Mr Spitzer HAD opted for the "p0rn" available in hotel rooms, he might not be in this position right now--food for thought, eh? " Biblical beliefs aside, Spitzer was participating in an illegal act over a number of years. The fact that Spitzer had an understanding of every act in a legal sense, it makes it even worse. Other than making a deal, how does he defend himself against the charges? I think that at the end of the day, we should feel bad for his wife and children. Thye don't deserve any of this. "
