SYRACUSE - A 43-year-old former bus driver is headed to federal prison for 2 1/2 years for threatening to blow up an upstate New York bus station where he worked.
U.S. Attorney Glenn Suddaby says Christopher Moultrie of Johnson City pleaded guilty in August to making a false bomb threat against a building used in interstate commerce.
Moultrie admitted phoning a bomb threat to the Short Line/Chenango Valley Bus Lines terminal in Binghamton on August 2006.
Moultrie also admitted a similar threat on September 2006 against a Short Line/Coach USA terminal located in Mahwah, N.J.
Suddaby says authorities evacuated the terminal buildings and rerouted more than 100 buses.
Moultrie was sentenced Wednesday by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Thomas McAvoy.
