Happy to help out the Brandstetter family

Monday, March 17, 2008 11:47 AM EDT

At a time when the Brandstetter family is obviously struggling, I am sending a donation as a thank you for all the years they have contributed to the community.
Many are stressed to pay for heating and fuel, for example, at a time when the CEO of Countrywide Financial (our nation's number one mortgage lender) receives $120 million as compensation.

God bless the Brandstetters!

" My sympathy goes out to little Tristan Morgan & his family whose home has been reduced to ruins because of fire. Now THERE is a real worthy cause which was not brought on becauase of slothfulness, self righteousness or a displaced need for praise and recognition. Tristan is a real hero whose misfortune deserves this community's help! "

" I agree that one shouldnt have more children than what may be feasible.
BUT, maybe all the children were here before the financial situation?
My dad is from a family of 16-8 boys and 8 girls, my mom had 7, lost one should have been 8.
Large families were the norm when monies were alot tighter than today!

If everyone waited to have kids when they could afford it, Ob-GYN's would be out of business!
Then karl would complain because no one there to check for std's or hand out birth control. "

" karl L, I find it very hard to beleive that you are such compassionate individual. Let us hope that you never fall into a needy situation. "

" People with TEN CHILDREN should expect to struggle.
Let young people think about this when they are planning their family. "
