An Auburn man faces multiple felony charges in connection with an identity theft case at Cayuga Community College, Auburn police said Friday.
Eric E. Sutton, 18, of Lattimore Hall on Genesee Street in Auburn, is accused of stealing more than $22,000 from a CCC bank account. Police said Sutton, a former student at the school, is charged with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree identity theft -- both felonies -- as well as third-degree unlawful possession of personal identification information.
In a separate case, the APD said, Sutton is accused of possessing another person's credit card. In that matter he is charged with fourth-degree possession of stolen property, a felony, along with second-degree criminal impersonation.
Sutton was arraigned and remanded to Cayuga County Jail.
