‘Stay here, buy here'
AURELIUS - Andrea Murphy understands the temptation to run to Syracuse to go shopping, but has lately been looking at the benefits of just staying local.
“The more we stay local, the more businesses we can produce,” she said. “I think we can use more businesses around here.”
Murphy, a student in the Cayuga-Onondaga Board of Cooperative Educational Services' New Visions Program, and her fellow classmates spent last Friday learning about economic planning and how they can help infuse businesses into the region.
