According to my sources, the average cost of health care in these United States is about $7,000 per person per year. In other advanced countries, like France, England or Canada, the average cost per person per year is about $3,500 per year (or about half) and they cover everybody.
The administrative costs for heath care in the U.S.A. is about one third of all monies in our system, or about $2,300 per person per year. The other countries aforementioned spend about one seventh of all monies in their systems, or approximately $500 per person per year, for adminstration.
If we could cut our administrative costs by one-half, we could save approximately one sixth of all monies in our system, not quite $1,200 per person per year.
More than $40 million Americans have no health insurance, or about one in seven. According to my estimates, if we could reform our administrative costs, we could cover all Americans and still have money left over.
