By The Citizen staff reports

Snow mixing with sleet and freezing rain accumulated across the region Saturday, and the northernmost part of Cayuga County was expected to get a foot or more of snow by Sunday morning.
Minor traffic accidents were reported in Cayuga County Saturday night, and the Auburn Public Works Department called in some workers at about 7 p.m. to deal with any trees or branches downed by ice accumulation.

Motorists Saturday were advised to use extreme caution as strong winds were expected to create whiteout conditions in some local areas.

Southern Cayuga Central Schools' performance of the musical “Grease” and Weedsport's production of “Damn Yankees” were both called off Saturday night. Both have been rescheduled for 2 p.m. today.
