There are so many people that are going back to school classes and home schooling just to try and get their diploma. They are out in our work force and some can't even read or comprehend what they are trying to read, so how do you think they'd be passing their grades to receive their GED?
I was asked to write this letter for some adults who have children (families) and are working to support themselves and their family, and go to school or home schooling.
I understand that to meet the high school requirements for an equivalency diploma, you need a score of 2250. Don't you think someone could lower this number some? Then you need a 410 minimum in order to not have to take the subject over again, plus you have five major subjects on the test.
Well, you need to be sure they comprehend first. Someone should explain this some more by doing an article for those who plan on ever taking a GED test. To all of you that do, good luck.

As it is, know-it-all teens are already dropping out of school at an alarming rate thinking they can take the lazy way out by passing the GED.
Now, Shirley wants to make it even easier for them. Shame on you, Shirley. "

If you can't make the cut, you can't get the diploma. It's that simple. If you really want it, or really need it, work harder, get study help, try again -- it will be worth so much more to you if you know you earned it.
My father's mother dropped out of high school during the Depression because they needed her to work on the farm. She got married, moved to the city, had kids -- and went back to high school at the age of 40. That's right -- she went to every class right alongside the 16-18 year olds and she EARNED her degree.
If you really want it, you have to be willing to earn and deserve it. "

If they cannot comprehend a GED then they need not be in the work force and go back to school.
We didnt force them to have families, but we sure plan to enforce requirements needed to graduate or recieve a GED. As it is the GED is the lazy way out! "
