CLAY -- A 37-year-old Syracuse-area man has died of cardiac arrest after a police officer used a Taser on him during a domestic disturbance.
Clay Police Commissioner Owen Honors says Christopher Jackson was pronounced dead Monday night at St. Joseph's Hospital after being hit by one cycle from a police Taser.
Police and Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies were called to Jackson's apartment around 9:10 p.m. for a domestic complaint.
Jackson was found on the first floor of the apartment building before fleeing from deputies. Jackson returned to his second-floor apartment and was confronted a Clay police officer. Police say he tried to grab the officer and was hit with the Taser after several warnings.

The company that makes Taser has been selling this "gimick" for a while, and too many budget oriented police officials fall into their beguiling smooth talk.
Taser's are a WEAPON, and DO kill.
Gun's are non-lethal, just depends on where you shoot. Proper training!!! get back to basic's, forget the high-tech lies, and just put more cops out on the beat.
I would rather see more people employed in the police departments, then wasting money on "high-tech" junk that never works right to begin with.
Most of these companies pray on men, and their need to have "high-tech" gadgets. So men get duped into these gadgets at work, because they can't afford to buy "high-tech" goodies for themselves. DUH!!!
Cut the gadgets and get back to basics!!! Somewhere along the way basic police skills have been getting lost... "

Perhaps the best part of our justice system is that both sides usually get to explain what happened in a court of law. Unfortunately, this gentleman will never have that opportunity. "
