R.J. Contracting takes early lead
R.J. Contracting rolled 3,483 in the team handicap event last weekend at Rainbow Lanes to set the pace in the Auburn USBC Championships.

Potter’s Trucking No. 2 is second with 3,468 followed by Big Kahuna’s (3,385), A.B.A.T.E (3,384), Carquest (3,371), Bob Scott Motors (3,298), JT’s Customs (3,298), Crozier’s (3,293), Bowler’s Choice Pro Shop No. 1 (3,203), Binn’s Excavating (3,190), Sunset Restaurant (3,174), Zink’s (3,169), Locastro’s No. 1 (3,139), Potter’s Trucking No. 1 (3,137) and Kitchen Express (2,971).

In the scratch division, Crozier’s is first with 3,188. Other top teams include Bowler’s Choice Pro Shop #1 (3,080), Carquest (3,053), Big Kahuna’s (3,016) and Sunset Restaurant (2,982).

The event runs through Friday.

The singles and doubles begin at Cedar House Lanes on March 7 with a 9:30 p.m. squad. Play continues March 8 and 9 with squads at noon and 3 p.m. both days.

Bowlers may walk on for each squad.

King Ferry Team No-Tap in March

The ninth annual King Ferry Lanes No-Tap Team Handicap Tournament begins on March 7 and will run every Tuesday and Sunday throughout the month. Five-person teams may have any combination of men and women, and there is a maximum average of 1,050.

The event costs $150 per team. First prize is $1,000.

Handicap is 80 percent of 200.

Squads on Tuesdays are 7 and 9 p.m., while Sunday squads are 10 a.m. and noon.

The top six qualifying teams will roll off March 25 at 7 p.m.

Flyers are available at all area bowling centers.

Teams should reserve a spot by calling Bill Dockstader at 364-8009.
