Pilat rolls 300 in Valentine's event
Dan Pilat bowled a 300 game as he and partner Becca O'Donnell rolled 1,328 to win Division One of the 700 Club Valentines' Couples Tournament last Saturday at Rainbow Lanes.
Pilat finished with 725 while O'Donnell rolled 603. The pair earned $120 for their victory in the 386 average-and-over category.
Mike Ryan fired an 802 series, including a 298 game, as he and Denise Ryan (489) placed second with 1,291 to win $80. Ann Fenton (535) and Mike Sheehan (746) were third with 1,281 to win $60.
In Division Two (359-385), Brandon Mettler rolled a 299 game en route to 713, while partner Kira Mettler added 566 for a 1,279 to take first place and $120. Chris Bacon (710-290) and Kim Bacon (434) were second with 1,144 to earn $80. Ron Rizzo (614) and Kay Rizzo (490) had 1,104 to place third, taking home $60.
Neale Baran (692) and Linda Baran (443) led Division Three (358-and-under) with 1,145 to win $120. John Ashby (702) and Mary Dennis (381) finished second with 1,083 to earn $70, while Lee Burnett (709) and Joanna Gallo (374) were third with 1,083 to win $70.
Other top scorers for the men were Greg Spinelli (728), Rick Liccion (716) and Benny Appleby (700).

Slater, Ryan win Sport League
Corey Slater and Mike Ryan teamed up to win the Starlite Lanes PBA Experience Sport League. They finished with 123 points, ahead of team Kevin Ashby-Mike Walker Jr., which had 105.
Wayne Bibbens rolled 780 to take high honors on the last night. He was followed by Ryan (773), Jason Whiteside (765), Brian Brooks (748), Bill Stanley (732) and John A. Locastro (732).
Completing the standings were: Dick Bobbett-Mike Wilczek (103), Jim Locastro-Brooks (100.5), Brandon Slayton-Feldman Jr. (96.5), Dan Pilat-Becca O'Donnell (94) and Patty Wright-Benny Appleby (86.5).
