A division of Unity House of Cayuga County Inc. has moved to new location in Auburn.
Unity House's Unity Employment Services, which helps people with disabilities find jobs, moved Friday from 38 East Genesee St. to 1110 Corporate Drive, formerly the site of the federal Social Security Administration effective.
“Our Auburn employment services staff and the consumers they serve have a greater space and layout needs, and their move to the Corporate Drive location will better accommodate their current and future requirements,” executive director Joyce Williams said in a news release. “Staff and consumers will be better served in this new UES-Auburn location.”
The office will have the same phone number, 253-8732, and site manager Brenda Murphy will have the same e-mail address of bmurphy@unityhouse.com.
Unity House is a leading provider of transitional and permanent housing, rehabilitative and employment services to more than 700 individuals a day with developmental disabilities, mental health illnesses and those recovering from chemical dependencies in six central New York counties.
The Auburn office currently employs eight full- and nine part-time staff. It has 15 consumers in job development and 50 consumers placed in the area's marketplace.
