Two Cato-Meridian wrestlers win sectionals; Skaneateles wins championship; Weedsport girls win basketball semifinal; Auburn basketball team falls

Cato-Meridian's Dom Giacolone, at 96 pounds, and Nick LaLone, at 140 pounds, won Section III wrestling championships Saturday night at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

In hockey, Tory Cole led the Skaneateles hockey team with two goals and Keith Buehler added one goal and three assists as the Lakers claimed the Section III, Division II championship with a 5-2 win over Whitesboro on Saturday at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

It is the second Division II hockey title for Skaneateles.
