The National Weather Service is predicting that a winter storm heading to the Northeast should have a minor impact on Cayuga County, though some snow will fall.
The NWS forecast is now calling for light snow to move into the area early Friday, and continue during the day. Two to four inches of snow is likely for this area.
A winter storm warning has been issued for areas south of this region, particularly in the northern half of Pennsylvania. Up to a foot of snow is possible in those regions.
