Police arrested a 27-year-old Auburn man on charges that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing.
Gregory Davis Hilliard, of 17 Jefferson St., Apt. 3, faces third-degree rape, third-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child charges. Police arrested Hilliard at the Auburn Police Department headquarters on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the 16-year-old had been reported missing earlier in the day, but patrol officers found her in Hilliard's home. The ensuing investigation led the arrest.
Hilliard was arraigned in Auburn City Court and remanded to Cayuga County Jail on bail of $5,000 cash and $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court Feb. 15 for a preliminary hearing.
