Missing person case ends with rape charge

Auburn police arrested a 27-year-old man on charges that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl who had been reported missing.
Gregory Davis Hilliard, of 17 Jefferson St, Apt. 3, faces third-degree rape, third-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child charges. Police arrested Hilliard at the Auburn Police Department headquarters on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the 16-year-old had been reported missing earlier in the day, but patrol officers found her in Hilliard's home. The ensuing investigation led the arrest.
