The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office of Friday charged two men in connection with a burglary that netted $50,000 cash.
The burglary, at C&M Transportation in Moravia, was reported on Dec. 27, 2007.
Sheriff's office detectives traveled to Tompkins and Cortland counties Friday, conducted interviews and collected physical evidence before arresting the pair at 3 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
Charged with the felonies of third-degree burglary and second-degree grand larceny are Ricky L. Predmore Jr., 21 of 67 W. Main St. Apt. #1 Dryden, N.Y.; and David K. Wacht, 24 of 71 Route 38 Harford Mills, N.Y.
Both men were arraigned in the Town of Moravia Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
The late-night burglary led to the theft of $50,000 cash - mostly in $50 and $100 bills.
Three weeks after the burglary, C & M Transportation owner Chris Leonard offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves.
