New York education officials say 13 schools with poor performance records will be closed across the state.
They're the latest scheduled to be phased out as part of the education department's "Schools Under Registration Review" program.
Nine of the schools are in New York City, two are in Buffalo and there's one each in Poughkeepsie and Yonkers.
In addition to the closings announced Wednesday, 15 schools were added to the department's annual watch list and seven were removed. No Cayuga County schools are on the list.
Of the 68 schools currently under review, 32 are in New York City.
The education department says a total of 60 schools -- including five last year -- have been shuttered under the program since 1989.
