None of the Republican candidates can be trusted

Monday, February 4, 2008 12:02 PM EST

“Smaller government, smaller taxes.” That's what all the GOP candidates are campaigning on. Add to that more mumbo jumbo about Iraq and how the surge is working and how we're going to end up winning that war. McCain, Guiliani, Huckabee and Romney all say Hillary is not in tune with the American people. What a joke. Hillary will at least admit the American people are not being properly represented. As a matter of fact, outside of the rich and powerful, they're not being represented at all. Talk about being out of touch. They are so far out of touch that on a scale of 1 to 10, I give them a 1. On a scale of 0 to 10, I give them a zero.
Because if elected, that's the kind of representation they'll give the American people, just like the past.

You can bank on that. And you can bank on the fact they'll keep lying about Iraq. That's all they've done since they took it upon themselves to hoodwink everyone into a paranoid frenzy that Hussein had all these weapons of mass destruction ready to bombard the good ol' USA.

Name-calling and fear-mongering are what the good ol' boys of the GOP are good at.

Those smiles and sincere speeches can't cover up the fact they're proven wolves in sheep's clothing.

Yes, these big bad wolves would like nothing better than for one of them to get elected president and carry on doing nothing but the same old same old that Bush has done.

On a scale of 0 to 10, Bush gets a minus 10.

And he gets a minus 10 because he's done no good at all. He's done nothing but bad.

He's responsible for the huge deficit, a war that shouldn't have been and he has shown absolutely no remorse for all the scandals under his administration.

The same holds true for the four GOP candidates mentioned. In a nutshell, any GOP candidate simply cannot be trusted to do anything good for the American people.

" Why do republicans have such fond memories of Ronnie Raygun? He was one the worst presidents of the modern era. If he was a candidate in this election even republicans would not vote for him. He raised taxes, he killed the economy and at most cabinet meetings he had to be kept awake and coherant to understand what was going on. He started the decline of the countries image to foreign nations. Do some real research on this man's legacy and you will find your memories have glossed over reality. "

" Lets not forget Clinton signed the expanded NAFTA in 1995. Guees what, I lost my job along with 450 other people in 1996. Remember the TRW plant in Union Springs. Clinton is a donkey tail end also. What is wrong with a smaller goverment and smaller taxes? It all fits well together. Worked well in the Reagen years and beyond. "

" I think Murray's contempt for most people is getting in the way of good sense. It really doesn't matter--Republican or Democrat, it is who can do the job in the best manner. My I.Q. has dropped once again for reading the letter. "

" The voter's elected the two worst modern time President's (CARTER & GEORGE W. BUSH), the two Presidents with little or no brains. No current president candidate will be able to correct the damage in one term of office, but that winner must get day one right and start a recovery to correct our current situations. NOTICE THAT I DID NOT SAY THAT DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN PERSON BUT RATHER THE BEST PERSON SHOULD WIN. Murray can not stand a REPUBLICAN regardless if that person IS THE BEST CHOICE. PERIOD. "

" I'm A Democrat, but people extreme statements that come from those like Murray Lynch tend to hurt the party. Types like him are the reason that the term "liberal" now has bad undertones. "

" You are so right. Also blame Bush & his father for the exodus of jobs from this country, and the skyrocketing cost of energy. Remember, Bush the elder was the one that started the "new world economy" The bushes are laughing all the way to the bank, and riding on our backs. I'm just sorry that Bush 2 still has time left to twist the knife. "
