Non-qualifiers paid in Masters
On Sunday, Mike Ryan won $500 for capturing The Citizen Masters men's tournament at Cedar House Lanes. But for the first time in many years, the tournament prize list included $25 each for those who finished 65th through 72nd.
“We felt those bowlers were deserving of it,” said Ryan, the tournament director. “They scored well, but just not high enough to make the cut. We gave them something to show for it, and we'll continue that practice next year.”
