Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl in connection with the Jan. 12 cab robbery at Walnut and Howard streets in Auburn, police reported.
Jessica R. Carpenter, 17, of 31 Steel St., Auburn, faces one count of second-degree robbery.

She was arrested Tuesday night and was being held pending arraignment in city court.

The Auburn Police Department said Carpenter turned herself in after they had visited several places she is known to frequent.

The APD had previously arrested a 14-year-old boy and 19-year-old woman in connection with the case.

The APD has said the incident took place in a Deluxe Cab Co. automobile near the intersection of Walnut and Howard streets around 2 a.m.

Police said three suspects assaulted a 27-year-old woman and took her purse while sharing a cab.

One of the suspects also took money from the cab driver.

All of the suspects fled on foot when the vehicle stopped.

The assault victim was treated for minor injuries at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
