Auburn's Rescue Mission Thrifty Shopper will move a few doors down after a short hiatus.
The Auburn store will relocate from its corner spot in the Auburn Plaza to a larger store in the same strip because its lease ended on Jan. 26. The larger store will open on Thursday, Feb. 14, next to Total Tan on the east side of the Auburn Plaza, off Grant Avenue.
The opening ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, and Rescue Mission staff as well as Mayor Michael Quill are scheduled to attend.
The business has had clearance sales throughout January to sell down its stock.
The new store will have the same selection of used and some new men's women's and children's clothing, accessories, household goods, games, and toys. The new location will be 6,900 square feet, 1,700 square feet larger than the pervious location.
