AUBURN -- A Rochester man will serve time in jail for fraudulently purchasing a motorcycle.
Michael White, 22, was sentenced Tuesday at Cayuga County Court to six months in Cayuga County Jail and five years of probation. White pleaded guilty Nov. 20, 2007, to fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, for making a fraudulent account transfer of $5,350 on Aug. 24 for a Kawasaki bike, according to District Attorney Jon Budelmann.
Judge Mark Fandrich also ordered that White pay the full amount of restitution plus a five-percent surcharge.
