May I send an old message to our city manager, Mark Palesh? The message is: “If it ain't broke, don't fix it!”
There is nothing wrong with the garbage collection as it is. Personally I prefer using a plastic bag. When it is picked up, it's gone. My neighbors who use trash barrels sometimes have to chase them down the street on windy days or they get run over when they blow into the street in front of a moving car.
So let Auburnians remain “old-fashioned.”
