Ever been stuck in a room with somebody you didn't particularly care for? Or worse, couldn't stand. ‘Tis the tale of six stranded strangers seeking shelter from a bitter blizzard in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The premier of “Bed No Breakfast” will shower audiences with various comedic scenarios as this crew of actors stumbles upon the UP B&B, whose owner is unprepared for visitors. The plot thickens as the guests' combustible personalities defrost.

“It's a comedy by circumstance in how the characters clash and get along,” said Stephen Nunley, the managing director at The Kitchen Theater.

The musical stems from the masterful talents of Rachel Lampert and Larry Pressgrove, the team that created “Tony and the Soprano,” “The Angel of the Sun” - which was performed at the New York City Musical Theater Festival in 2006” - and “Comfort Food.”

“It's exciting to see projects as a team and progress into this new one,” Nunley said. “We've performed (Lampert and Pressgrove's) past works, and now to unveil this new one,” he hesitated at the thought of such an opportunity.

Nunley explained that this musical is a rare opportunity, with a cast of six, to add several ensembles. “The last time this happened was in 2006 with the six-person cast of ‘Tony and the Soprano,'” he said.

With the success of the Kitchen Theater's past shows, this latest nearly guarantees a crowd-pleasing performance and Nunley is convinced that audiences should attend merely to witness the progression of two of theater's finest.
