In response to the article, “Montezuma Planning Board Dismissed:” As a resident and taxpayer, I am embarrassed and frustrated with the behavior of the town supervisor and the board.

The people who make up our planning board are the only advocates we have in Montezuma.

They have shown that they have the courage to ask the tough questions, are dedicated to a job that is thankless and have agreed to take on difficult responsibilities when the board didn't want to.

Instead of dismissing the group, the town officials should be listening to them and coordinating efforts to improve the community, and not disband them because of inflated egos. We need to support our planning board and give them the respect they deserve.
