No Cayuga County projects are among the 64 Restore New York grant recipients announced Tuesday by the state.
The announced grant recipients include $330,000 for a Route 418 revitalization effort in Fulton, along with a $2.5 million grant for the redevelopment of the Seneca Army Depot.
Left off the list were any Cayuga County projects, including the city of Auburn's application, which generated some controversy when prepared during the fall.
The Auburn City Council voted to include three projects - the Schine Theater restoration, demolition of the downtown Kalet's Department Store building and Glenn Fletchers' church renovation project - in one application. This came despite warnings from city staff and the state not to try to establish weak links among properties included in one application.
