The Auburn Police Department has arrested a 19-year-old woman in connection with the robbery inside a cab over the weekend in which a teenager had already been charged.
Lorie A. Wentworth, of 34 Bradford St., Auburn, faces a second-degree robbery and third-degree robbery charge. The APD arrested her early Wednesday morning at a Barber Street residence.
The APD has already detained a 14-year-old boy related to the case, and is seeking one more suspect.
The APD said the incident took place in a Deluxe Cab Co. automobile near the intersection of Walnut and Howard streets around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police said three suspects assaulted a 27-year-old female victim and took her purse while sharing a cab.
One of the suspects also took money from the cab driver. All of the suspects fled on foot when the vehicle stopped.
The 14-year-old has been referred to Cayuga County Family Court on second-degree robbery charges.
The assault victim was treated for minor injuries at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Her husband, 59, suffered chest pains after trying to intervene and was also taken to AMH for an evaluation.
Police said the victim's purse was later recovered in the area of the robbery.
