Association provides help for stutterers

Monday, January 14, 2008 11:53 AM EST

We read with interest Carol Spellman's Jan. 5 article, “Colvin served town for 48 years.” We applaud Mr. Colvin's efforts to overcome his stuttering and for taking this opportunity to shed some light on this complex disorder.
However, your readers should also know how to contact an excellent nonprofit source of help, The Stuttering Foundation.

We provide information on the latest research, a worldwide resource list of specialists in stuttering, and DVDs and books on stuttering compiled by leading authorities.

For the latest information, offered free of charge, your readers may visit us at www.stutteringhelp.org or www.tartamudez.org as well as call toll-free, (800) 992-9392.
